R&D Projects

A collection of self-initiated research and development projects built to explore ideas, test technologies, and refine architectural approaches beyond client-driven work.

Intermezzo

I am currently exploring low-code headless backends, where standard backend concerns such as authentication, authorization, and user management are already well handled by mature platforms. This allows developers to focus on core application features while maintaining full control over business logic and workflows.

On the frontend side, things become even more interesting. With much of the backend complexity abstracted away, frontend development turns into an enjoyable space for feature exploration and UI experimentation.

CMS Multisites

While “CMS Multisite” may sound generic—especially alongside platforms like WordPress—this project takes a different, modern approach using a Headless CMS architecture. The frontend operates independently from the backend, which serves data exclusively through APIs. This website is one of the sites managed within this Headless CMS Multisite exploration. Currently, two themes are available, with more planned based on target market needs.

First... Frontend.

This is not only about appearance, but also about the features represented by the available block components. Each block is designed with a specific purpose and can be easily implemented within templates as well as the desired layout concepts.

And then... CMS Backend (Admin Page).

This CMS does not use a “brick-style” templating approach like Elementor. Instead, it adopts a block-based approach, where every element displayed on a page—such as heroes, slideshows, sliders, text, and others—is represented as a block. These blocks are composed and populated with content through the admin interface.

Blocks Applied

As you can see above, several blocks have already been applied to the page, and there is a selection of available blocks ready to be inserted into the page. In the image below, you can see the content of a block while it is in edit mode.

And finally, this is a brief overview of the feature I am currently developing.

Hope you enjoy it :)
